See the BBC News London feature on COTW member Adia and the choir highlighting some of the issues surrounding the work ban placed on refugees until their asylum cases are confirmed, which can often take years.
Meet some of our members...
Christine and Ali at choir social.
A poem by Christine Where can I make a home? Not in the rubble of my land nor in a tattered tent, under a concrete bridge or in a burnt out car. Tell me where can I make a home?
Show me where I can make a home. I’ve come so far with bleeding feet and red raw hands, broken nails from holding on. And when I fall will you catch me and show me where I can make a home? How long have you been a part of the choir? 12 Months.
What's been in best moment? Learning Safe Passage (Nahnoo Musa Fer) by our very own Tess.
What made you join? I've been interested in refugee and migrant issues - plus I live very close to Mycenae House!
And what made you stay? The members, events and interesting songs!
Any hidden talents? Dancing!
Whose the best dancer in the choir then? I am!
Anything else you want people to know? I can't sing!

I am romantic and practical at the same time. I wonder why the Home Office is discriminative I hear the sound of birds singing free I see a part with a pond and a waterfall. I want to have status and be free I am romantic and practical at the same time.
I pretend I am strong and happy I feel sad and detained I touch jasmine and violet I worry about my future and my family I cry, oh, I cry about feeling unbelieved and discriminated I am romantic and practical at the same time.
I understand I will win, the truth always wins I say the light will always overcome the dark I dream of freedom and meeting my family I try to fight and fight and keep fighting, for my rights and freedom. I hope we all have equality and be free I am romantic and practical at the same time.
Thank you. "Me at the same time"
